Minutes of the Ordinary Meeting

This meeting was held online due to the Covid 19 pandemic

Present:

Councillors: Leo Kolassa, Sandra Baxter, Bob McCann, Yvonne Irving, Michael Walsh and Michael Weild

In Attendance: Mrs C Jenkins (Clerk) and 0 member of public

31.0 Apologies for Absence

There were apologies received from Cllr Bennett.

32.0 Members Declaration of Interest

There were no interests declared.

33.0 Public Forum

The meeting was adjourned for this item

There were no members of public requesting to address the council.

34.0 Minutes of the Previous Meeting

The minutes of the Ordinary meeting held on 1 December 2020 were approved as a correct record and the Clerk will be arrange for them to be signed by the Chairman.

35.0 Matters of Report from Previous Meeting

There were no matters of report from the previous meeting.

36.0 Planning Applications

36.1 Liverpool Road Site

The Clerk reported that the hedge would be owned by the landowner to which it lies.  Currently, this would be the developer who would also be responsible for its maintenance.  Should the land be sold or taken on by a new owner, the responsibility of the hedge and its maintenance would be passed to the successor. Cllrs questioned why there is a mixture of species rather than using hawthorn only. The Clerk will ask this question.

It was noted that the Liverpool Road developer has still not provided the relevant paperwork relating to the choice of piling machinery. A noise survey has been commissioned by Formby Parish Council and this will be followed up with Sefton Council Environmental Health department.

36.2 Members noted the weekly lists of planning applications as per Sefton Council’s website.

37.0 To discuss and resolve the following:

7.1 To approve the budget for 2021/2022

It was resolved to approve the budget for 2021/22

7.2 To determine the precept for 2021/2022 as per the budget recommendation

Members agreed that the precept for 2021/22 should remain the same per household as for the current year, (which for a band D household is £9.96 per annum).

It was resolved to approve the precept for 2021/22 as per the budget recommendation to remain the same as for the current year based on the 8 valuation bands.

38.0 Chairman’s Report

The Chairman wished everyone good health and a happy new year.

39.0 To Authorise Payments

It was resolved to approve the payments as listed

  1. Formby Parish Council Clerks services  – £375
  2. Contribution to noise survey – £100
  3. Contribution to village Christmas Tree – £100

40.0 Date of Next Meeting

In line with the emergency legislation meetings will be held online when necessary and published on the website at www.littlealtcar-pc.gov.uk.
